highly acclaimed Plain English Campaign and
help them gain new clients.
With ex-BBC producer Brian James we filmed over 3 days in London and at the Plain English Campain office in Derbyshire, the production showcased the Plain English Campaign’s editing and training service, detailing how they improve customer communication and save clients’ money.
Plain English Campaign now use this DVD film
in presentations to potential new clients,
enabling them to introduce their services and
promote their profile in a consistent way.
“Plain English has revolutionised the relationship between the public and the large bureaucracies and big business.” Says producer Brian James.
“ Not only has it helped to create a more open society through the use of clear, simple language but the film also shows how it has helped save millions of pounds for the Government departments and corporations in the process.”
Plain English Campaign officially began in 1979,
after founder Chrissie Maher OBE publicly
shredded hundreds of official documents in
Parliament Square, London.
Entirely independent, the campaign funds itself
through its commercial services, which include
editing and training.
They have worked with thousands of organisations
ranging from UK Government departments to
World Bowls, helping them make sure their
public information is as clear as possible.
